Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using VeganScan ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. The Service is operated by Master 22 Solutions ("we", "us"). If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. What VeganScan Does

VeganScan analyzes ingredient lists from photos and barcodes to estimate whether a product is vegan. Results are based on automated OCR, public ingredient databases, and AI analysis. VeganScan is an informational tool, not a substitute for reading the label yourself, and not medical, dietary, or allergen advice.

3. Eligibility & Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country).
• You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity on your account.
• One person per account; don't share your login.
• Provide accurate information when registering.

4. Free and Premium Plans

VeganScan offers a free tier and a paid premium tier billed monthly ($1.99/month) or annually ($19.99/year). Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account settings; you'll keep premium access until the end of the current billing period.

Payment is handled by Stripe. Refunds are provided where required by law.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service; submit illegal or misleading content; use the Service to harass others; or attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication, or security controls. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. User-Submitted Evidence (Contests)

When you contest a scan result by submitting evidence (text, URLs, or images), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to analyze and use that content to improve the ingredient database.

7. Accuracy Disclaimer

We work hard to keep our ingredient database accurate, but OCR, translation, and third-party data are imperfect. Always read the actual product label, especially if you have allergies or strict dietary needs. VeganScan is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Master 22 Solutions is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $20 if you're on the free plan.

9. Intellectual Property

The VeganScan name, logo, software, and content (excluding user-submitted content) are owned by Master 22 Solutions. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Master 22 Solutions is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
